I has seen this street light a thousand times on my drives home and I knew I wanted to shoot it eventually. Just because of how lonely it seems. A couple of months ago it looked right for some reason. It was lightly rainin, so I only took a few shots and this was one of them.
i love the deep contrast in this picture. the texture the road makes is great. the only thing that bothers me is the halo around the street lamp. i think it would look better if you softened up the edges of it a bit. it looks too unnatural this way.
good point. I actually didnt wanna edit it too much. But Ill play with it a little bit in the morning. The only thing I've done to the picture is change the contrast a bit. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it!
oooh very nice. you could have almost cropped it right above the end of the road there... because the textures of the road is what fascinates me about this photo (that's just me, though ) i love seeing photos like this... the things people see every day. i dig it

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A Zen feature for you restless souls out there. A collection of specially selected photographs from nov - des, show them some love And remember, being an artist is not just about producing art, but about appreciating other peoples artwork to
